Hosting Remotely

Remote use of SpeedQuizzing

SpeedQuizzing is primarily hosted in venues such as bars, pubs, and conference rooms where all players are in the same place as the host.

However there may be times where you want to allow players to play remotely, where the quiz is streamed over a platform such as ZOOM.

There are strict rules with a SpeedQuizzing activation-license stating how you can and can’t host remotely.

Essentially, so long as you DON’T stream SpeedQuizzing INTO a venue, SpeedQuizzing can be played remotely using WEB PIN mode.

Examples where remote use is allowed

  • Hosting a corporate event where some, or all of the people are playing from their homes or different workplaces.
  • Allowing some people to play your pub quiz from home as a way of promoting your quiz nights.
  • Hosting an event for friends or family where they each play from their own homes.

Examples where remote use is NOT allowed

  • You are on vacation but still want to host your pub quiz, thus streaming your voice into the venue.
  • To provide SpeedQuizzing across multiple bars / pubs at the same time.
